Mauricio Davila
Mauricio was born and educated in Mexico where he completed his BSc in Industrial Engineering (Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City). He worked for the private sector in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Venezuela and the United Kingdom. In August 2002, he co-funded a NGO called ‘Discovering Latin America’ (www.discoveringlatinamerica.com) which main aims are: to promote Latin American culture in Europe and to raise funds for long-term developmental projects in the region (in the areas of health, education and poverty).
Mauricio joined Advocacy International as a part-time Research Fellow in May 2006; at the moment he is also studying a part-time MSc in Globalisation and Latin American Development at the Institute for the Study of the Americas (University of London).
